The gilded age of nightlife may very well be upon us. D'Or ("of gold" in French), is the latest foray into the Midtown party scene. Located downstairs in the recently opened Amalia restaurant (inside the Dream Hotel), D'Or is a cavernous space with beautiful design and outstanding energy attracting the younger, hipper set to this trendy hotel. Features include a "floating" staircase entrance, Rococo-esque artwork, crystal chandeliers, and modern design. Drinks are generous and incredibly creative while the nightly DJ's are some of the best in Manhattan. It is all of the scene of New York's best lounges with none of the attitude. D'or is very well known for it's hospitality for birthday parties & events, recently hosting a fabulous party for the cast of Gossip Girl.
